Frankly, first we didn't prefer this stay as we wanted to stay in Forest homestay, maradi. But as there is no availability in maradi we decided to stay here after discussing with Mr. Jeevan, owner of the stay but we must accept that it is nothing short of an experience we desired. Jeevan is so calm , composed and helpful in planning our entire trip. Homestay is in midst of lush green surroundings which gives tranquility. With the use of GPS link we reached there quite easily. It has all the basic amenities and the rooms are decent and comfy. They had enough activities to keep us engaged. We had a great time playing rifle shooting and carrom. We missed out swimming in the river nearby which is really unfortunate for us. Food served is quite good and thanks to the cook for putting in all the effort. You don't get proper mobile network other than Airtel, it is only a plus. Dileep, the care taker shud have a special mention. He is one of the best in business with smiling face. He helped with all our requirements. Dileep took us for a trek to a nearby hill which is serene and a falls nearby which is an adventurous experience. Both remains as the unforgettable experience of the trip. His Photographing ability is impressive and should be mentioned in particular. There was no major setback in the stay. This stay is for those who wants to have a break from hustle and bustle of the city life. All said , its a lovely experience and only we wish we could have stayed for more number of days. Thanks Jeevan and Dileep.

Go there if you want to come back with a heart full of warm memories and a refreshed mind, body and soul. Go there if you want to experience the country side of the verdant western ghats. Go there if you want to be pampered by loving, simple people. Don't go if you want to remain connected with the world-out-there 24x7. Don't go if you can't do without a commercial plush lifestyle. Don't go if you are looking for a "list of activities and shopping to be done". I visited this Homestay with my friend last week (both ladies in late 50s), in Aug 2015. Nestled in the laps of hills, overlooking lush paddy fields, we had a rejuvenating stay. Amenities : Simple, basic, clean and comfortable Food : Local, simple Malnad food, served with love and enthusiasm. My friend who is settled away from India, was visiting India after a gap of 18 years. She craved for tender coconuts, drumsticks, fresh water fish and more. All this was not immediately available, but our caretaker, Dileep made sure to arrange it for her. Network Connectivity : Away from the main town, you get limited mobile network. Airtel and BSNL works. I didn't have either. Dileep made sure to call up my family back home from his phone and keep them updated. Ever heard of such kindness? Local sight seeing : Dileep took us around to the local waterfalls, ancient temples atop hills, bird spotting, strolls through fields and coffee plantations, leisurely visits to the nearby river. We couldn't have asked for a better navigator. Highly recommended, especially during the rains!

A literal definition of Homestay is this place, right in the middle of nowhere, non commercialized, feel-at-home place, delicious home made food and an Excellent care taker named Dilip. We were there for 3 days and 2 nights with friends and family and the entire area was at our disposal. I must say this place is excellent. The best part is you don't have any network here which kind of pulls you out of the outside world and lets you breath. After all the soul purpose of an outing is to take a break and this place is the best to take a break. You will be happy with this place, the food you eat and the best care taker ever (Dilip)

We have visited forest home stay on 1st Aug-15 for 1 day with our friends family. The place is situated in remote place, where there is less connectivity for everything. Place is awesome with greenish all around. Its a very cam place to stay for those who are really busy. Still no much activity in home stay. if they will do some more adventure activities it will be very famous.
